“Voice and video chats, personalized spaces for different departments, relaxation areas where social interaction among employees can be encouraged, team meetings in conference rooms that allow real-time collaboration and interaction as if they were in a physical office - this is the new work environment at Webcomum Digital Business & Tech.”
Since June 2023, around 50 employees, spread across Porto, Lisbon, Leiria, and Brazil, have been testing the virtual office model that fully recreates the company's work environment.
"Remote work is here to stay, and while more and more companies are embracing this reality, enriching their teams with talent from different locations, it is also important to adopt solutions that ensure productivity and a sense of team and connection to the company," says Fernando Félix, the CEO of the company, headquartered in Porto.
The results have been "very promising," with employees attesting to the "effectiveness of the platform" (which even allows for the customization of an avatar that enables colleagues to talk to each other and bring their avatars closer). The future may involve adopting this work model.
