Cascais lança plataforma de recrutamento inclusivo

“The municipality is keeping up with the introduction of the new quota law rules for people with disabilities with an innovative new project that provides an integrated response to employers and candidates.”

Cascais has just launched an inclusive recruitment platform that combines the best of technology with close relationships.

Companies with more than 75 employees are now required to meet a quota for hiring workers with disabilities, and the JustWork platform emerges as a 360º solution, covering support for candidates and employers throughout the entire process, for a premium recruitment experience.

It all starts with a marketplace that allows real-time consultations of candidate profiles or job vacancies, not only for jobs as in other similar projects but also for internship opportunities or other work experiences. This area is based on a very simple interface, allowing users to have easy and intuitive browsing experiences and quickly achieve their goals.

Ensuring a good experience for all platform users was one of the main goals of Web Comum, which handled the entire digital component of the project. Fernando Félix, CEO of this Porto-based company, which already has projects spread across five continents, explains that today “in a world saturated with information, poorly designed websites become dysfunctional and can hardly retain audiences, as people who visit them tend not to return.” According to the head of this company, which has been focusing on the humanization of technologies, JustWork shows how it is possible to translate complex processes very simply, with the help of advanced technology that integrates artificial intelligence systems.

These connections between people with disabilities and employers, which start online, then move to a second stage of real-world meetings where a team of experienced consultants supports and guides each case until the recruitment process is successfully completed.

JustWork was conceived by a local network of inclusion partners, the Commission for Persons with Disabilities of Cascais, which includes more than 30 entities working in the field of disability. Its implementation was made possible with the support of the BPI/La Caixa Foundation Awards.

Training, resource sharing, and consultancy for companies are other dimensions of the project, which will initially be available to employers and candidates in the municipalities of Cascais and Oeiras. In the future, the goal is to extend this integrated and innovative response to other regions of the country.
